STATEMENT
BY BOB KINNISON
WINNEBAGO COUNTY BOARD MEMBER
- DISTRICT 10 -
Although I respect those who have supported the Perryville Extension, I am, and have been,
opposed to the extension with the original five alignments. I do not feel that the current volume
justifies any expenditure on this project while two large highways (251 and I90) are easily accessible
and are currently being used. It is estimated that 251 would require a daily traffic count of 40,000
cars, yet this volume is only at 60% of that level. Residents as well as the township have voiced
opposition as have individuals whom I represent who may or may not necessarily utilize such an
extension, but would most certainly be involved in the payment of such a project. Almost everyone
who has offered these opinions to me have challenged it. I agree and cannot support such a project.
